Real Estate Finance Solicitor 0-3 years PQE - Manchester
Time for a change? Xmas holidays often provide an opportunity to reflect on your career and whether its measuring up to your expectations. You'll likely have recent have had your appraisal and salary review - hopefully its gone well but maybe its still time for a change. Maybe. If so, read on and see whether something resonates. If not, read on anyway. You just never know.
This is a different real estate finance role in Manchester. What makes it different I hear you say. Well culturally its a lovely team in which to work. They are led by high quality partners with excellent clients and relationships and in terms of property finance work this is very 'property focused'.
The role will involve helping bluechip institutional client looking to fund large scale, often mixed use development projects. Working for developers and challenger banks offers that change from working for institutional lenders. Its varied, fast paced and involves delivering quality advice while developing client relationships.
Fundamentally it is still a fee earning role that will require you to turn up to the office, record your hours and produce quality of work. So, at its most basic, it is no different.
The difference lies more in the manner in which the firm has established itself in Manchester and the impact of what that means to someone coming into the firm. Indeed, it is this that gives rise to the fairly unique proposition offering excellent access to high quality clients and a culture and atmosphere where career development is encouraged at all levels.
What is required? First and foremost you need to be a real estate or specifically a real estate finance lawyer or at the very least have a 6 month banking or real estate seat in your training - now that may be broad banking rather than real estate focused. Provided you have the right desire and attitude towards real estate finance work then general banking experience is fine.
So what could that offer you? Well, in on the ground floor into a team that is going to be hugely profitable can only stand you in good stead when you stake your claim for promotion or salary reviews. Additionally the route to develop your own clients and take responsibility will be unblocked and won't require the often dog eat dog relentless nature of pulling out work from panels.
So, if you are a real estate lawyer or NQ with some experience in transactional finance - whether that be in Manchester already or a London re-locator (or anywhere else for that matter) who can see the fantastic opportunity this represents then we want to hear from you.
