Title: UK Legal Counsel
Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £50-65,000 (DOE) + quarterly bonus
Douglas Scott have recently partnered with an innovative, pioneering, Software company with growing entities peppered across the European continent. Due to the continued growth of this rising tech star, the regional General Counsel (EMEA) has decided to appointment an In-house Legal Counsel to oversee the UK legal operation as the business continues to grow from strength to strength.
This opportunity would be well suited to a self-starting Legal Counsel who has had previous experience within an international Technology, and or Software, business.
Due to the organic nature of this role, the successful Legal Counsel would have the unbridled opportunity to design and implement their own legal framework, as they see fit, in order to capitalise on the successful of the UK business to date.
The Legal Counsel will directly report into the UK CEO and have the operational opportunity to influence and direct the business as required- duties include (but are not limited to):
* UK Principle for all commercial contract matters- including SaaS and licensing agreements
* Lead data protection and compliance officer
* Point of contact for external agencies/regulators (ASA, FCA and ICO)
* Supporting corporate activities on behalf of the UK entities
* Project manage a range of legal projects to strengthen and develop the business
Salary is offered up to £65,000 per annum along with the eligibility of quarterly bonuses- up to £1,000 per quarter. A generous benefits package is also offered with private medical cover as standard.
Occasional European travel will be required by the UK Legal Counsel to regional offices and counterparts, however this will be fully expensed. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starting Legal Counsel to take the next step to build and develop a UK legal operation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the Technology/Software sectors and will ideally have around 3 years PQE.
