Our client is one of the leading innovative, disruptor businesses, operating globally. They are looking for a dynamic, resilient and technically excellent corporate lawyer to join the team, but to also work with the wider, established team of lawyers at Group level, in a fast paced and unique legal environment.


  • Significant experience in all areas of private and public corporate and company law including but not limited to: private equity and venture capital investment, mergers and acquisitions, AIM IPO’s and AIM and main market fundraising.
  • Able to demonstrate superior bespoke drafting and negotiation skills in a variety of unique legal situations
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of effective and commercial application of legal principles in a business setting
  • The ability to deliver in a time pressured environment whilst demonstrating excellent organisational and management skills
  • Experience across a range of commercial matters, including the drafting of complex commercial contracts and reporting on and reviewing the same
  • The ability to report in an effective and consistent manner on key legislative matters and their impact across the Group in relation to public and private markets, regulatory, compliance and other areas of law and practice
  • A proven track record of advising on corporate governance and company secretarial matters
  • Experience across all sectors of corporate transactional work including employment, litigation, IP, pensions and others
  • First rate company law and corporate governance knowledge and practical application of the law essential, including but not limited to all aspects of the Companies Acts, Listing Rules, Takeover Code, FCA regulations, AIM Rules, Anti-money laundering regulations and equivalent 


  • Delivering superior quality legal advice to the business and the wider Group and its portfolio as against the objectives, principles and aims of the Group
  • Drafting, advising on, negotiating and overseeing documentation for the business funds and prospectuses
  • Assisting the Group’s portfolio companies and their management teams through financing rounds, including IPO, and exit events
  • Working with management on general legal issues, including general contracts, prospectuses and financial promotions
  • Working with Compliance on Appointed Representative agreements and FCA applications/ interactions
  • Leading and advising the business on specific identified areas of regulatory compliance matters
  • Delivering training on relevant legal and compliance topics to all staff
  • Overseeing the businesses internal governance and processes
  • Providing strategic advice on legal issues and transactions, including company secretarial and corporate governance support
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with external counsel on an as required basis
  • Representing the businesses retail investors in all matters
  • Representing the business and the wider Group at events, functions, reviews and consultations
