Infinis is a leading diversified distributed power producer with a total installed generating capacity of over 480 megawatts across 153 sites, which generate electricity from methane-rich gas. The company is a utility standard operating platform with three divisions: renewable Landfill Gas (LFG); baseload Coal Mine Methane (CMM); and Power Response (PR).
Infinis runs the single largest fleet of LFG engines in the UK and has c.300 employees.
This newly created in-house legal role forms part of a small, lively and professional legal team. The role involves the provision of legal support on a range of commercial, development projects, corporate and regulatory matters and day-to-day legal advice to all areas of the business and the Senior Management Team.
The role would suit a lawyer with private practice experience looking to make his or her first move into industry, as much as it would suit an individual with an in-house legal background already. It will appeal most to a lawyer who is genuinely excited by the opportunity to work for a dynamic business supporting the transition to a low carbon energy sector and to expand your skills with the opportunity to advise on a variety of areas of law.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with experience in either commercial contracts, projects, corporate or project finance. Experience of renewable energy projects or the power generation sector in general is not essential, but any experience you have in either field would be advantageous to you.
Infinis benefits from the financial strength of its owner, 3i Infrastructure plc, a major economic infrastructure business, whilst still being of the size to offer a varied and exciting workload and the opportunity to make a visible difference.
The company is a key player in what will continue to be a growth sector in the UK for the foreseeable future with a competitive remuneration and benefits package which includes a car allowance, bonus and pension.
This recruitment assignment is being handled exclusively by our retained consultants Florit Legal and all direct or third party applications will be forwarded to them.
