Position Summary

Privacy matters, and as a Privacy Analyst you will be an invaluable asset to long term privacy objectives and support our privacy work-streams. This role handles the legal and operational risks related to sensitive and critical information assets. You will be a key member of the Privacy Program Office, continuously assessing business unit operations, conducting risk assessments and record of processing activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Runs the log of legal and operational risks related to sensitive and critical information assets.

  • Assesses business unit operations as part of overall risk management practices.

  • Completes and maintains repository of documentation required for privacy compliance.

  • Supports Privacy Manager in workshops with the business and functional areas.

  • Responsible for upholding Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

This role requires:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Solid work approach and has the capacity to fulfil responsibilities with limited supervision while maintaining effective communications with the Privacy Manager. This includes researching, resolving, crafting, evaluating and implementing possible solutions or recommending appropriate actions to develop the most effective plan.

  • Soundly performs fact gathering, analyses privacy issues and drives privacy compliance controls on a day-to-day basis.

  • Demonstrated capability of identifying, researching, investigating and evaluating known and potential privacy risks and compliance risks across the business and its operating units.

  • Process oriented.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability collaborate with key partners on privacy issues, including the implementation of privacy procedures and requirements; Can ensure business functions are aware of and utilising corporate privacy policies and procedures.

  • Good ability to maintain proper documentation, relevant records in a clear fashion.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, accounting, computer science, or related discipline with 2 years+ (candidates with less experience who also have the relevant skills will also be considered) of progressive experience in compliance, privacy, data protection, security, risk management and/or auditing;

  • Familiarity with applicable privacy laws and regulations

  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, problem-solving and forward thinking. Strong organisational, facilitation, analytical, communication (written and spoken), presentation, managerial/supervisory and leadership skills also required.
