A FinTech company who have an innovative software platform that is disrupting the UK financial planning community. Due to significant growth, the firm are looking to appoint a Head of Legal to lead on a range of corporate commercial matters such as tendering, contracts, negotiation and legal processes for existing and prospective corporate clients and suppliers.
The Head of Legal will report to the CFO, and work closely with an experienced Executive Team.
- Take ownership for RFI and RFP submissions, due diligence requests, and supplier and customer contracts
- Be involved in drafting and negotiating contracts for the firms two major platform solutions
- Manage all corporate and commercial contract negotiations and relationships, including the use of external Counsel
- Supporting the sales and marketing team compile RFI / RFP's
- Lead on due diligence requests from potential partners
- Shape the legal function and challenge the existing ways of working in order to drive continuous improvements
- Management of the firm's intellectual property, including patents and trademarks and working with and patent agents
Applicants
- Have first class drafting and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrate a confident persona when dealing with corporate commercial and intellectual property legal matters
- Hold 4 year PQE and above within corporate commercial, and intellectual property matters
- Confident in drafting commercial contracts and preferably SaaS agreements
- Preferably have an understanding of financial services products and the regulated environment
