Are you an experienced Commercial Lawyer or an established Local Authority Locum Lawyer looking for your next opportunity? Then this might be the interim post for you.
A large council legal team in London is looking to recruit an interim Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer on an on-going basis, to assist them whilst they embark on their own permanent recruitment drive.
Working as part of the Resources Directorate you will be responsible for advising on all aspects of contract, procurement and regeneration law, aiding the council to achieve their short and long term aims.
Your caseload will be high profile and high value and will require you to undertake complex contract and commercial work for works, services, suppliers and other major contracts so as to protect the Council's interests. Your knowledge will also be called upon so as to advise on procurement issues such as EC regulations, partnerships and best value.
It is important that you have:
- A qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or FILEX
- Have proven PQE in commercial contracts and public procurement
- Have an through knowledge of contract law
- Can communicate legal 'jargon' into terms that can be digested by non legal professionals
- Have an interest in getting involved in training, supervision and mentoring
The role is due to start in Dec 2018 and is expected to run for 3 months. An hourly rate of between £35- and £45 per hour (inside IR35) is offered for this post.
