The Team:

Our client are building a brand new team to focus upon remediations and complaints associated with material risk.  With a senior lawyer in place, they now require 2 mid-to-senior level lawyers and one junior lawyer to complete the launch lineup in what will be a highly diverse, challenging and visible role within the bank requiring both common sense, diplomacy and technical analysis skills.

The Role:

In all cases where a remediation is necessary (across mortgages, bank lending, cards and payments, corporate banking, wholesale banking, wealth and fund management), the team will be brought in to analyse "what went wrong", advise the senior business stakeholders and build a remediation program to address the problem.  This could be as diverse as potential derivative mis-selling and inaccurately calculated mortgage interest across the bank and takes in a number of areas of product knowledge, law and regulation.
