Leading organisation currently recruiting for a Claims and Litigation Co-ordinator to be based at their Worthing Headquarters. This role demands a high level of support with public liability claims management and litigation. It will report into the Senior Liability Claims Co-ordinator and sits within the Litigation and Claims team in the Legal Services Directorate.

The main accountabilities of this role include:

* Public Liability claims investigations and Small Claims litigation activities
* Replying to letters of a technical nature within regulatory, court and Company timescales
* Liaising with other departments and third parties to collate information in order to reply to customers or their representatives, insurers or solicitors
* Reviewing the submitted information and producing recommendations on liability
* Producing ad hoc letters to the highest professional and quality standards
* Responding to telephone contact and providing telephone responses where appropriate
* Accurately updating relevant databases including the Claims Management system, PI Claims Portal and SAP
* Responding to insurance claims by customers, third parties and/or their representatives
* Undertaking low value litigation activities to include responding to utility strike claims and recovering water services debt by way of small claims litigation

In order to considered for the role, you will need the following:

* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
* Completion of or working towards CILEx Level 3 qualifications or similar
* Previous experience in a customer service or junior legal based role
* A basic understanding of relevant liability principles
* Fully IT literate (MS Office) and be able to use databases
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* Strong attention to detail
* Pro-active and able to work without supervision
* Good problem solving and investigation skills
