Employment Solicitor - Cheshire
This is an unusual role for sure. Not because of anything bad that's for sure but largely as the firm itself has all the hallmarks and quality of work of a large commercial firm but is in fact a boutique employment practice.
That is not to suggest it is volume advisory service but rather this is a full spectrum employment role (aside from corporate support) encapsulating the full range of contentious and non-contentious matters for a full spectrum of clients.
Recent growth and instructions in their insurance product clients has been the trigger for this role but someone coming in would have a much broader diet of work and the firm continues to go from strength to strength so much so that they feel they could accommodate two additional hires.
Ideally you will have upwards of 18 months experience as an employment lawyer or you may be an experienced CILEX. There is no upper level to a degree and the firm are open to speaking to experienced and senior people who might be looking for something a bit different. This can be within a claimant or respondent background albeit that the primary function here will be respondent focussed.
The firm are open to speaking to NQs but they are unable to consider someone who is seeking a retrain or has only minimal exposure to employment work. Prior paralegal experience within employment would undoubtedly be advantageous.
Ideally you will also want to play a role in business development and further enhancing the firms burgeoning commercial profile and there will be great scope to build your network and client relationships.
