A global law firm with an outstanding Business Restructuring and Insolvency (BRI) practice which is well placed to advise corporates and their stakeholders on their options.
THE ROLE
The team comprises highly experienced lawyers based in all of the international financial hubs and advises a wide variety of stakeholders in restructuring and insolvency cases, including distressed borrowers; senior, junior, and subordinated debt providers; shareholders; directors; trustees; and suppliers to a distressed borrower.
They also act for investors looking to buy into a distressed situation at either the debt or equity level.
The team has great experience in all formal insolvency procedures, whether used as part of a work-out or as an exit solution for a distressed corporate.
This is an opportunity to join one of the major business restructuring and insolvency practices in the City with practice is widely recognised as one of the top rated in its field.
Over the past 2 years, the practice has had major roles in almost every high-profile restructuring and insolvency case.
ABOUT YOU
For a lawyer with strong business restructuring experience, ideally with knowledge of debt finance documents.
The team is looking for an associate with 4-6 PQE (or equivalent experience) with experience at a leading City or US firm.
They have scope at the more junior end for a candidate with more technical insolvency-based skill, and at the more senior end for candidates with a more rounded restructuring experience including finance document drafting.
It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree) with excellent written communication and drafting skills.
The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team.
