Our Chambers rated national Restructuring and Insolvency practice is thriving. With premier legal rankings, noted practitioners and a national capability recognised as being able to deliver for clients in an 'approachable and personable way', we're leading the way in the unrivalled depth of expertise and commercial advice that we offer to our clients.
Working with banks, turnaround professionals, insolvency practitioners, underperforming businesses, distressed lenders and other stakeholders to create recovery solutions and to advise on strategy to achieve solvent and insolvent restructurings, business sales and asset recovery, the lawyers rely heavily on the valued support of paralegals to deliver this first class client service.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious paralegal to join the team in Newcastle.
So what will you be doing?
With no two days the same, this varied role there will see you providing support to lawyers across a number of our offices, not just Newcastle. This is a great opportunity to gain a broad range of experience and a genuine chance to use those all-important business development skills as you'll be assisting with networking events and marketing activities.
As a Paralegal in this team, you'll be expected to run your own caseload of matters as well as having the opportunity to get involved in some of the more complex cases that the team are working on.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
We're looking for someone who is keen to build their career as a restructuring and insolvency fee-earner. It's important that we offer our clients the best possible client experience and we believe that comes from allowing them to build strong and meaningful relationships with their legal team. If you're looking to build your career in this specialism, we absolutely want to hear from you. You might already be working towards your CILEx qualification, or have gained previous experience as a paralegal.
Whatever your background, you'll bring exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, strong drafting skills and be able to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure with a natural ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally.
The exciting introduction of artificial intelligence to the legal profession has created opportunities for our paralegals to get involved in document automation and contract coding support for "smart" or "connected" contracts so if you have all of the above together with previous experience in document automation then we really want to hear from you.
So what's in it for you?
We know that it's not all about us. You'll want to be assured that this is the right opportunity for you and we really believe that this is a fantastic place to work. You'll be joining a supportive team where you can learn from true leaders in their field and build your experience with access to great quality work and great clients. Supported by a collegiate approach, and firm wide commitment to paralegal development there are fewer better places to start your legal career.
Our enviable office location on The Quayside has panoramic views of the famous Gateshead Millennium Bridge with an onsite hot and cold subsidised deli serving breakfast and lunch.
And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.
