INSOLVENCY/CORPORATE RECOVERY c4-6yrPQE
Insolvency Solicitor required by this busy mid-market department which handles a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious insolvency work. Suitable applicants will need at least 3 years PQE as there isn't scope to invest significant time in getting a lawyer up to speed with the basics of this discipline.
As important as technical competency is character and enthusiam as this market thrives on networking and having contact with intermidiaries. As an expected part of the role you'll be out and about several times a week, during the day and also in the evening, as that is how this team ensures it maintains its flow of instructions and visibility in a competitive market. It is hard work but the social side and professional sides of the job overlap and so a suitable candidate must share this view of what it takes to succeed in this field.
You'll be joining an award winning firm of some size in Leeds, and which acts for clients regionally and nationally. This practice has good profile, some innovative internal ideas for people management and development, and also happens to be amongst the best payers for a firm of their size which is reassuring as many candidates from larger brands are worried that remuneration won't be competitive.
In this instance the firm can consider an Insolvency lawyer already established in Yorkshire, but is also open to someone of the right experience who perhaps wants to bring their career to Leeds and who therefore won't have contacts on the ground but would be keen to build their network in the region.
Brooke Thornham Consulting advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
