CONSTRUCTION 7yrsPQE TO PARTNER
Construction lawyer required at Associate to Partner level for the Leeds office of this innovative national brand.
Our client is a national firm with good rankings in the Legal 500, and with a full spread of expertise for commercial clients. Real Estate is a national group of 150 employees so represents a substantial part of the firms commercial offering. The firm acts for a broad range of clients, including plcs's but also large regional businesses and SME's.
Ideal candidates will do both non-contentious and also contentious Construction work and be comfortable day to day working without close supervision. The firm does already have Construction Law capability in the real estate group, but this particular role in Leeds will have a multi-site remit in the North, and so presents a substantial platform for an ambitious candidate. Lateral hires at Partner level will be considered on their merits as partnership rightly has a value for this firm and so isn't something which will be cheaply awarded to attract someone who doesn't meet the necessary criteria.
You will be part of a tight team with a good atmosphere and so self confidence and having a willingness to get involved with the real estate teams marketing activities is vitally important. This represents a great opportunity for a candidate wanting a really credible and well resourced brand, but who is perhaps wary of the demands of Top 20 firms and so is hoping for a firm with more light touch management and which is keen for the successful applicant to develop their own profile in the role. The firm wants you to bring your ideas and contacts and will support you in growing your practice, and the opportunities for progression are obvious.
A significant opportunity for a Construction Law candidate looking for a good deal of autonomy with a credible brand.
Brooke Thornham Consulting advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the level of experience required for the role and this does not prohibit applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience. We aim to respond to enquiries as soon as possible but if we have not contacted you within 5 days then unfortunately on this occasion your application has not quite met the requirements of our client closely enough.
