Job Title: In-House Lawyer (Advancement)
Department/Division/Faculty: Advancement
Salary: £45,400 - £54,880 per annum

Imperial College London is looking to appoint an In-House Lawyer (Advancement) to work within its Advancement Division. Advancement is an agile and ambitious team, striving to generate philanthropic income for College and Faculty fundraising priorities. The team has been expanded considerably over the last few years and now comprises approximately 85 staff.
In this role you will be responsible for providing pragmatic legal advice and support across the Advancement Division to help secure philanthropic income for the College and ensure compliance with laws relevant to the Advancement Division’s activities. You will need to have experience of the following areas of law:
- Charity and trust law;
- Data protection law; and
- General commercial contract law.
Reporting to the Head of Legal Services (Advancement), you will also be required to apply policies and procedures in respect of the College’s fundraising activities. The Legal Services (Advancement) team forms part of the Advancement Operations team within the Division, and includes two legally qualified professionals, a data protection manager and a due diligence officer post (to be appointed).
You will also be a member of the College’s central Legal Services Office, which comprises a team of legally trained professionals who advise on a range of legal matters for the College.

This is a fixed term contract, full-time, not normally less than 35 hours per week with the possibility of extending.
