NQ Family Solicitor / Legal Executive / Paralegal- Middlesbrough
Full-time or Part-time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this expanding Family Law department of our client base din Middlesborough. This is a new role created due to high demand for the family law services.
The role is for an NQ Family Solicitor or CILEX or a paralegal, on a full time basis, 9-5pm Monday to Friday, although applications from candidates wanting part time 4 days a week would also be encouraged.
The role will involve a range of Family Law and Children cases; however the majority is likely to be for divorce and Private Law Children matters. Own advocacy experience would therefore be an advantage. They are looking for someone committed and dependable, who produces quality work and is able to fit into a department which focusses heavily on client care and compliance.
They are flexible as to the level of PQE required, but believe the role is likely to suit a candidate who is Newly Qualified. This will however be very dependent upon the candidate and we would encourage any qualified Solicitor or CILEX experienced in Family Law to apply. Significantly experienced Paralegals will also be considered.
The Firm offers a family friendly, flexible environment and encourages progression, which may involve Resolution or Family Panel accreditation if not already achieved. The candidate will be supported by an experienced Head of Department and a Family Solicitor, both of whom are in excess of 8 years' PQE.
The Firm has won awards for its focus upon Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including being Highly Commended by the Law Society at its annual Excellence Awards and the Family Department was shortlisted in 2017 in the Northern Law Awards. They may be a smaller size firm; however we are fully confident in our ability to rival larger local firms.
Some secretarial support is provided, but the candidate will be required to also undertake own typing.
The Firm offers an initial 30 days' holiday (including Bank Holidays), with Christmas/New Year closure and an additional free day's holiday on the last working day before the Christmas holiday (dependent on court commitments). The Firm also has an active Flexible Working Policy.
Salary is competitive and negotiable, dependent upon the experience of the candidate.
Lipson Lloyd Jones Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. Please note our advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the minimum level of experience required. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfill this kind of work.
