Our client is an international technology business headquartered in San Francisco. After significant growth, it is seeking to appoint a commercial lawyer to join its dynamic legal team based in London.

Your role will focus on managing transactional matters and providing support to the EMEA business functions, with a particular focus on France. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting and managing software licensing, vendor and supplier agreements governed by both English and French law. You will work closely across all levels of the business, advising on legal issues and risk, policies and procedures and business strategies across EMEA. You will also manage international external counsel and provide ad hoc legal assistance on wider legal matters including corporate governance, IP, M&A and data protection.

The successful candidate will benefit from excellent academics, at least five years' post-qualification experience and fluency in both English and French, spoken and written. You will ideally be English law qualified with an extensive knowledge of French governed contracts and be business proficient in French. The nature of the role means demonstrable software licensing experience is essential and candidates who can demonstrate a working knowledge of wider matters including corporate governance, privacy and compliance, will be at an advantage.

This opportunity will suit a team player with the ability to work independently as part of a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
