Assistant Director, Policy and International
The CMA are seeking two Assistant Directors to help lead its competition policy development and international engagement.

We are looking for two Assistant Directors to join our central Policy & International Team.
As a member of that team, you will take a leading role in the team’s work to:
- influence the development of competition and consumer law and policy;
- enhance the CMA’s investigation processes and policies, building links between different areas of the CMA’s work
- develop the CMA’s international relationships.
You will be responsible for a varied and challenging portfolio of work, through which you will lead multi-disciplinary project teams to develop CMA procedures and policy positions in key areas of the competition landscape, and advise CMA project teams on policy issues arising in their work; and.
At a time of significant political and economic change, you will have a rare opportunity to work closely with a range of peers from across the CMA, government and international agencies, helping the CMA to deliver successful investigations, manage risks and influence externally.
The role will suit a driven, proactive individual who is keen to broaden their existing, detailed expertise. It demands strong analytical, strategic and management skills, and a proven, up-to-date knowledge of UK or EU competition law or policy. An ability to identify, assess and respond to wider policy and political issues and opportunities is also key.
Salary: £64,000 - £77,300
