One or more lawyers are sought. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent, and be qualified solicitors or barristers in the UK or equivalent jurisdiction with levels of relevant experience appropriate to the seniority of the role (essential).
This is a chance to apply your experience and skills to help deliver one of the UK’s most significant investment programmes.
You will have demonstrable experience of drafting, negotiating and advising on complex and/or high value contracts for works, services and supplies (both bespoke and on industry standard forms such as NEC or JCT) (essential) Preferably within the transport sector but otherwise in a related sector or sectors Engineering and construction experience are both desirable. Some exposure to public procurement law and/or technology contracts and/or construction aspects of development and housing would be an advantage. You will demonstrate the ability to influence others, in-depth legal knowledge, a proactive and commercial approach and a track record of working both as part of a team and independently to handle a busy workload.
