Based in the heart of the City in the iconic Gherkin building, our London office - comprising around 170 lawyers - acts in some of the most complex, high value and high profile corporate transactions in Europe. At Kirkland, we are renowned for our private equity work, but we are also recognised for our experience and capabilities in legal advice across the corporate spectrum, including debt finance, restructuring, tax, international litigation and arbitration, technology and IP transactions, financial services regulatory, competition law, and capital markets.

Vacation Scheme

For two weeks over the summer, our vacation schemes provide the perfect introduction to life in our London office. Through a combination of real work and practice overview presentations, and with the guidance and support of a supervisor and mentor, you'll get a strong feel for our working culture. Plus you'll get to meet partners and associates in a more informal setting at a number of different social events. And on top of some truly invaluable experience, you'll receive £500 a week to help with expenses.

Training Contracts
As one of a select number of trainees you will be given early responsibility to work on complex multi-jurisdictional matters. On the job training is actively supported by an extensive education programme, carefully tailored to meet your needs. There will be opportunities for you to undertake an overseas secondment, enabling you to experience the international resources and capabilities of Kirkland & Ellis.
