BayWa r.e. is a renewable energy company headquartered in Munich with global interests in wind, solar PV, biogas, geothermal energy and related sectors. Worldwide it employs over 1,000 people across a range of markets including Germany, UK, France, Italy and the USA. BayWa r.e.’s global Operation Services Division manages in excess of 2.3 GW of renewable energy assets, of which the UK – as the biggest single market – accounts for 685 MW and is seeing rapid growth. Following BayWa r.e.’s acquisition of solar PV O&M provider Green Hedge Operational Services (“GHOS”) in 2016, GHOS has been renamed BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited and is now the consolidating entity for all operation services provided by BayWa r.e. in the UK. This includes Operations Management for utility scale onshore wind, Operations & Maintenance for utility scale ground mounted solar PV, and commercial asset management for both wind and solar asset portfolios.
