Lawyers release videos talking about tackling mental health issues
Two lawyers have founded an organisation designed to help lawyers sustain their mental health.
Chetna Bhatt and Lauren Giblin started ‘Being Lawyers’ after being forced to take significant time off from work, Bhatt suffered from ME and Giblin from depression.
For Mental Health Awareness Week they have released a series of videos talking about what they have learned from the experience.
The rest of the videos can be viewed on the Being Lawyers website.
An Australian study earlier this year found that lawyers suffer from “significantly lower levels of psychological and psychosomatic health wellbeing than other professionals.”
Meanwhile, fifteen organisations from the legal profession have joined forces today to create a new taskforce promoting mental wellbeing in the legal community.
