DLA Piper raises NQ salaries to £70,000
DLA Piper has raised salaries for its trainees and lawyers
London first year trainees have had pay bumped from £40,000 to £42,000. Second-years will now be paid £47,000, while NQ salaries for those in the capital rise from £65,000 to £70,000 – an 8 per cent pay boost.
In the rest of England, first years will be paid £27,000, second-years will take home £30,000 and NQs will pocket £41,000.
Finally, DLA trainees based in Scotland will receive £24,000 in their first year, £26,000 in their second year and £38,000 on qualification.
It moves DLA Piper closer on the salary scale to the likes of Macfarlanes and Travers Smith, which raised NQ pay to £71,000 and £71,500 respectively this summer, and widens the gap on Watson Farley & Williams, which raised NQ salaries from £64,000 to £68,000.
