Our client, a prominent international law firm based in the City of London are seeking a fixed-term Trust Administrator for a period of 14 months.
THE ROLE
You will provide trust administration services to Private Client partners on packaged trusts as part of the trust services group, reporting to the Head of Trusts. There are approximately 250 trusts of investments and around 400 packaged trusts. Trusts of investments are more active and represent most (about 85%) of the firm's trust administration business. However, the number of packaged trusts remains significant, and the firm is seeking to recruit a Trust Administrator to administer the packaged trusts.
The administration of Packaged Tax Saving Trusts includes:
*Preparing and despatching annual questionnaires, financial statements and trustees resolutions
*Completing schedules for packaged products for different types of trusts
*Completing Tax Returns where necessary
*Maintaining a database of the 400 plus trusts
*Liaising with clients primarily on the telephone and also with other Fee Earners
*Responsibility for the billing of clients
THE CANDIDATE
Previous trust administration or tax experience is essential.
You should be a graduate with excellent all round IT skills. MS Office including Excel and Word are essential and knowledge of InterAction database would be advantageous.
The candidate should have an interest in tax and trusts and the ability to work unsupervised and on their own initiative in a very organised and efficient manner with a high attention to detail. Excellent telephone and letter writing skills, the ability to draft basic documents along with the ability to prioritise high levels of administration (file management of over approximately 400 trusts) are essential skills.
