The roles and responsibilities for the position will include:
- Developing innovative ways to accurately and defensibly reduce volumes of data required for review within a litigation or investigation project.
- Creating a case profile for each engagement, working with in-house and/or outside counsel to create a project plan, and determining the proper way forward.
- Managing the collection, processing, and hosting of data related to the litigation or investigation matter.
- Managing and building review teams; establishing team structure, review protocols and process; measuring quality control and team productivity and performance.
- Developing aggressive confidentiality safeguard protocols and crafting targeted search terms and performing search term analysis.
- Defining the deliverables that will be required to effectively support counsel managing the matter.
- Creating and delivering detailed briefings on the matter to the client and counsel.
- Playing a key role in the business development team, assisting the engagement manager in understanding a client’s legal delivery needs.
- Project management experience related to document review
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the desire to work in an exciting entrepreneurial environment
- Experience in managing multiple offshore attorney review projects including hiring, configuring, training, managing workflow, QC, interaction with clients would be added advantage
- Passion, interest and understanding of Indian business environment, and desire to relocate to India
- Experience in managing multiple offshore attorney review projects including hiring, configuring, training, managing workflow, QC, interaction with clients would be added advantage
- Experience completing and managing major litigation and investigation projects is required
- Required to mentor key associates
- Working closely with HR function on key people initiatives such as mentorship, employee fast track program, career counselling, building & conducting training programs
Qualifications & Experience
- 8 to 10 years of US Law Firm experience, OR 10 to 12 years’ experience in legal function with a focus on supporting complex outsourced legal processes
- Experience managing lawyers within litigation or investigation matters
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- Consulting background strongly preferred
- Strong eDiscovery and technology background
- Past experience in handling large teams
