New in! - our client are an international law firm whose insolvency team spans turnarounds, work-outs, re-organisations and restructurings through to formal insolvency (corporate partnership and individual), both nationally and internationally. We are seeking an ambitious solicitor with a minimum of 2 years insolvency and restructuring experience to join this thriving practice based in the heart of the city. Candidates with more, or less, experience are welcome to apply if they can demonstrate the relevant competencies, as below.
The teams client base includes accountancy practices, lenders, liquidators, receivers and administrators as well as other stake-holders such as pensions trustees, charity trustees, equity investors and local authorities. The group has also built up an excellent reputation and nice practice in cross-border insolvencies. The group acts for a number of international clients from across Europe, US, Australia,and elsewhere enabling it to build significant international and cross-border expertise and contacts.
You will be involved in a wide range of formal insolvency and restructuring work for a range of clients including lenders, accountants, pension trustees, equity holders and corporates encountering difficulties. The successful candidate can expect to provide high quality legal advice on debt management, restructuring and workout advice whilst helping to resolve cross-border and conflicts insolvency issues. Prior experience advising on dissolution options (voluntary liquidations and striking off applications), LPA receiverships, Drafting and implementing CVA's, a range of due diligence and contingency planning exercises.
You will have trained with a leading city or regional firm and be able to demonstrate a consistently strong academic record, You should exhibit sound technical insolvency experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Due to the nature of this role, both contentious and non-contentious experience is preferred and an ability to prioritise work in accordance with deadlines essential.
