Expedia Corporate Counsel
Expedia is the world’s leading online travel company and we are looking for a general commercial lawyer to join our team, based in London.
You’ll be given primary responsibility for dealing with a broad range of complex commercial matters and will provide legal advice directly to business clients on ecommerce, advertising, consumer and business initiatives and advise on other general commercial and regulatory matters.
Key responsibilities include:

- Effectively managing outside legal counsel in Europe including working to budgets
As a successful candidate you'll have:
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills working as the lead contact with minimal supervision on complex commercial agreements. Work in the areas of ecommerce, technology and social media would be an advantage.
- A background in intellectual property, advertising, consumer protection law and other regulatory issues and/or experience advising clients on cutting-edge legal issues in web, mobile, and social media contexts would be useful.
- Experience with a top regional or national law firm and/or experience working in a fast-paced, in-house legal environment
- A practical confident commercial approach to problem solving and managing legal risk
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to build relationships and integrate with the business
- As the role will involve working with multiple jurisdictions, language skills would be desirable.
