What will it take?
You will provide commercially focused legal advice and support to the Group’s UK businesses. This will include advising on the regulatory aspects of the Group’s products and services, with particular emphasis on consumer facing documentation relating to insurance policy wordings and regulated credit agreements as well as providing legal support on strategic and business projects and initiatives. As part of the Group’s wider corporate services department, you will work closely with the compliance team to service the needs of the Group’s businesses and you will assist with initiatives to raise the profile of the legal team and build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
As our successful candidate you will:
- be a qualified lawyer with post qualification experience gained either at a leading UK law firm or in an in-house environment, preferably with financial services experience;
- have experience of advising on financial services related; regulatory; or competition matters;
- have experience of advising on advertising related matters, including compliance with advertising law and regulation;
- be a strong team player with excellent communication skills who is comfortable working in a fast paced commercial environment to meet tight deadlines; and
- have some experience of working in a regulated business environment
