The Eversheds Agile business is part of the Eversheds Consulting practice group. The team comprises a pool of professionals called upon to work in our clients offices or remotely, working independently as experts (or as part of a team), with the option to consult Eversheds' extensive team of regulatory compliance professional as well as lawyers where appropriate.
Eversheds Agile professionals can add value in one of two ways:
1) By adding expert resource to clients' existing compliance and risk teams, to provide specialist, hands-on advice in respect of normal compliance / risk activities or as part of a project team (from the standard and routine to the unusual and complex).
2) By being part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside the Eversheds Regulatory Directors to deliver on projects, including S166 projects.
We are looking for Agile Professional from across the UK, with specific expertise in Consumer Credit and Debt Management. Detailed knowledge of the Consumer Credit Sourcebook is required, as well as experience of practical implementation of the requirements. In addition, we require individuals with a sound knowledge of financial services regulation which as been attained through a number of years within the compliance profession, with regulators or from consultancy.
You will contribute positively to the effectiveness of the Eversheds Agile business, by providing a high quality service to our clients, acting both in accordance with the clients wishes and the Firms’ professional standards.
Key responsibilities:
· Providing pragmatic and tailored solutions to meet clients’ needs.
· Supplementing the resources of an in-house compliance / risk team or to provide specialist advice on a project.
· Helping develop the Eversheds Agile business by establishing credibility and building relationships with our internal client base (compliance and legal teams) and our external clients by gaining their respect and trust - helping to ensure repeat business.
· Identifying and acting on potential opportunities, assisting in the preparation of proposals and presentations for new business.
· Managing client expectations and acting as one of the main contacts and representatives of the Firm.
· Working on client sites as required, undertaking specific compliance / risk related projects as directed by the client.
· Working closely with our existing regulatory consulting team and legal teams to ensure client needs are understood and met.
Skills and experience:
You will be an experienced compliance professional who has proven expertise and experience. Industry qualifications are highly desirable.
You must have proven commercial acumen, highly developed client engagement skills as well as specialist knowledge to succeed in this role. You will ideally have experience in industry, in consulting and/or with a regulator. You will need to have the ability to manage varied workloads as well as a flexible and pro-active approach.
We would also like to hear from people who may be new to contract compliance work / consultancy.
You must be prepared to be flexible and thrive on varied and unpredictable workload. Travel throughout the UK will be required and may be at short notice depending on the client needs.
