Headquartered in LA with three offices in Europe.
Dedicated and enthusiastic team in the online fast fashion market and active wear industry. Throughout Europe they operate 11 websites in 9 different countries with 2.5 million customers.
Due to unprecedented growth they are looking to strengthen their Legal team with a highly motivated Lawyer based from the London office.
Responsibilities:
• Offer counsel on a variety of legal issues in relation to e-commerce, IT/ IP and online law, EU
consumer rights protection, EU data protection; knowledge of corporate and commercial law..
• Offer counsel to the executive team and departments which are seated in Berlin, Barcelona and
London; enforcement of corporate governance for the companies across Europe.
• Keep abreast of EU and national legislative changes that may affect the company and its EU/ US
affiliates.
• Independently manage various projects and deadlines.
• Develop solutions to complex legal questions; offer ad hoc legal support and analysis where
needed.
• Liaise with US legal department on global company and legal matters.
• Negotiate, write, and execute commercial agreements and contracts, also intercompany contracts.
• Advise executives on contract status, legal risks and business terms of various deals.
• Maintain and improve contract management system.
• Perform pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
• Review advertising and marketing materials to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Strategize and management international trademark and domain name portfolio.
• Responsible for legal risk management and global insurance the company in Europe.
• Commissioning and coordination of external law firms.
• Responsible for Legal Compliance for the companies of in Europe and for new business
units.
• Monitoring of data protection in all European business units.
• Provide training to company and its affiliates on substantive legal topics.
Your background:
• UK / EU Qualified lawyer 5-6 PQE with in-house legal experience, ideally with EU-wide experience
• Strong transactional, commercial contracts, an IP experience and generalist experience including
employment/human resources, real estate, intellectual property, litigation, marketing, contest/promotions and procurement issues.
• Deep knowledge of data privacy rules and regulations as they apply to online businesses across
Europe.
• Commercial sensibilities.
• Knowledge of EU requirements and regulations and a willingness to learn more about EU member
states jurisdictions' specifics.
• Dedicated, independent, flexible and motivated team player.
• Will want to work in an international working environment that is young and dynamic
