Are you a charismatic, energetic marketing professional, seeking a fresh challenge? Eversheds is seeking a bright, tenacious marketing manager to drive forward the client acquisition and retention activities of our market-leading global Company Commercial practice group (CCPG). CCPG is a diverse and group incorporating our international Corporate and M&A, Commercial, Banking, Competition, Tax and Financial Services teams.
Working in Eversheds’ largest practice group, and with an ambitious growth strategy, your role will be to ensure the partners develop and convert a strong pipeline of opportunities, maximising the return on our investment in a comprehensive programme of marketing materials and campaigns, business development initiatives, client communications, events and training.
We operate in a highly competitive, international market. Your job is to reinforce the CCPG’s differentiators, winning business by helping our lawyers successfully evidence our commercially-focused, quality advice, excellent client service and innovative solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities are:
· Work with the CCPG senior manager to help drive the implementation and development of the global practice groups (and individual product groups) and drive the business plan and associated marketing plans.
· Work with the partners to identify hot topics, and trends to form the basis of PR and client thought leadership campaigns and creating a targeted strategy to raise the profile of the key priority products areas
· Proactively work on business development initiatives, including the Group’s targeting and client retention programmes, and engaging with partners and associates to ensure they are following up leads generated from marketing activity and coach them on tactics to improve their conversion rate
· Using the firm’s templates and knowledge banks, create compelling new business proposals, presentations and hand-outs, including coaching legal advisers through the scoping, pitching and follow up phases
· Working seamlessly with the firm’s key account management and sector development team, working to ensure client needs for CCPG services are identified and actioned in a timely, effective manager, and that topical issues in these fields are fed into client/sector thought leadership initiatives
· Ensure all information relating to the Group’s capability and experience is regularly collated, kept up-to-date and shared via various internal newsletters
· Work with our design agency to produce eye-catching, brand-consistent marketing collateral, including evolving the Group’s popular portfolio of print and online legal guides and tools
· Intelligently tailor the Group’s sales messages for specific sectors and opportunities
· Liaise with the wider marketing and business development managers and teams to share best practice in lead generation, thought leadership and client service excellence
· Responsibilities for managing the groups relationship with leading legal directories and overseeing the preparation of directory and award submissions.
· Working with our Business Analysis team, responsible for legal adviser league table submissions
· Enhance the external profile of the Group’s services, products and legal advisers via PR, legal directories, website, social media and other channels
· Keep the Group’s marketing pages on our intranet fresh, relevant and useful to colleagues
· Encourage full and effective use of the firm’s client database, Share (an Eversheds tailored version of InterAction)
· Manage and contribute to wider marketing projects as required.

Skills and experience:
The key skills and experience are:
· Solid marketing and business development experience within a business-to-business environment
· Ideally some knowledge and experience of Banking, Finance and Corporate sectors within a partnership environment
· Proven ability to build and nurture strong internal relationships in order to implement change and make things happen
· Confident self-starter with an enthusiastic, energetic approach which inspires others
· Team player who promotes a collegiate environment and promotes clients and the firm’s interests above those of any individual
· Ability to present with clarity and confidence and to coach others on how to do this
· Creative and commercial thinker who quickly translates thoughts into decisive action and prides themselves on a job well done

· Familiarity with the LexisNexis InterAction CRM system would be beneficial.
