Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager Commercial Insight, the Finance Manager Commercial Insight will play a key role in undertaking analysis to deliver top quality and accurate reporting to the Board and Executive, and challenge financial performance and engaging with key stakeholders to improve performance. It will require an analytical mind, with the ability to be able to model complex data to distil into key themes for further analysis.
Key responsibilities:
• Deliver key quality reporting to the business to provide commercial insight and understanding of the key drivers of performance and influence key stakeholders on improving performance
• Preparation of monthly performance reports on actual, forecasts and budgets for the Senior Management Team, Board and Executives
• Ongoing and high profile commercial and financial challenge and insight across all areas of the firm – including business strategy and various initiatives such as restructuring, international expansion, potential mergers, competitors etc identifying key financial implications, risks and opportunities
• Driving commercial performance – including supporting on holding the Key Account Manager and Sector Group Heads to account for their financial performance, supported by training/education
• To support on ensuring all financial targets are met within the Key Account Manager and Sector Groups - including ideas and initiatives to accelerate or exceed targets
• Ensure close relationships are built across the marketing and Key Account Manager teams to provide quality support to the Sector Group Heads
• Support on delivering the Firm’s pricing strategy, rate cards and development of innovative pricing tools
• To own and deliver key projects.
Transformation and change:
• Act as an agent for change, driving transformational change to improve the way Finance operates around end to end processes
• Influence the business to increase long term profitability and drive Global growth across the Firm.
Skills and experience:
• Ideally you will be a qualified accountant with strong technical finance skills
• Good all round experience of working in a finance function of a fast moving and dynamic commercial organisation desirable
• Solid experience of working in a commercial business partnering function supporting business stakeholders
• Proven stakeholder management experience, demonstrating ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
• Proven management skills in leading a team and an ability to grow and develop others
• Intelligent, energetic, resilient and passionate, you will be able to quickly hit the ground running and make a significant difference to the team and business which you support
• Strong preference for professional services background
• You will need to be customer focused, flexible, results driven and used to operating in a period of change and renowned for your accuracy and insight
• Willingness to roll sleeves up and undertake a range of activities at critical times of the month
• You will exhibit huge drive, passion, energy, enthusiasm and commitment
• You will be highly effective as part of a wider team, and a real team player
