Our client is an internationally market leading equity and investment advisory house and due to business demand, seeks to recruit a further lawyer to add to their existing legal team to help manage legal risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with a broad range of corporate / company matters, helping running the business successfully and acting as the first port of call for the business on day to day legal matters. You will regularly interact closely with the most senior members of the management team. Please note that this is not a transactional M&A role.
On a day to day level your responsibilities will include advising on corporate / company matters, assisting with various internal corporate projects including shareholder arrangements, corporate governance arrangements and internal corporate reorganisations, also assisting with global investor relations projects and liaising with various global departments including tax and finance as well as external lawyers and advisors.
The ideal candidate will be a UK qualified corporate solicitor with at least 2 years’ PQE gained in a magic or silver circle (or US equivalent) law firm and experience in private equity. Candidates with a private equity funds background will be considered. In-house experience gained during a secondment would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude and the ability to win credibility quickly with senior stakeholders are essential, coupled with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities. The succesful candidate must also be discrete, professional and team orientated.
