A requirement has arisen, at this pioneering and passionate Top 50 City law firm, for a contentious construction lawyer to join the firm on a fixed term contract for 6 months starting immediately to cover a maternity leave.
The construction team as a whole consists of 7 lawyers and support staff, covering both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. The contentious construction partner has lead the team for more than 20 years and he is a valued and respected leader, and an expert in his field.
The successful candidate will be at the mid - senior associate level (ideally 3+ years PQE), and will be able to start immediately or within the next few weeks, with the expectation that you will be committed to the firm on a full time basis for a minimum of 6 months, possibly longer. You will be UK qualified with a practicing certificate for 2014/5, although New Zealand or Australian qualified lawyers are also eligible to apply.
You will have gained your non-contentious construction technical expertise from a well known and rated City firm, and will have excellent academics including a 2:1 degree or above, or equivalent.
This is a fantastic opportunity, with a truly fantastic firm, so please do not hesitate in applying for this role immediately. If you are looking to work as a contractor or if you are considering your next move, then please do contact Hannah Martin at Taylor Root. I recruit lawyers into Private Practice firms on an interim and contract basis.
Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
