RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCING MANAGER
Our client is a Legal 500 rated firm with service offering to both private and commercial clients and a network of offices in North Yorkshire. Their Residential Conveyancing operation is thriving, and the focus of their customer base is private individuals in their region as oppose to bulk lender referred work from the UK. Whilst they have adopted modern IT and working practices they still maintain a quality focus and a charging structure which reflects that, and so this is most definitely not a 'factory environment'.
They are looking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancing Manager to work on an operational level in close co-operation with the firms Equity
Partners. You'll get fully involved in managing a team of more than 20 personnel across more than one office location and your responsibilities will include staff supervision and training, finance (monitoring performance against targets, credit control, quoting for new enquiries, and reporting to management), overseeing compliance for the Residential Conveyaincing Department, and in addition to this you must be able to involve yourself in fee earning at times of work pressure and staff absence. The firm are looking for someone who is accomplished in fee earning at a good level, but who backs that up with substantial demonstrable management exposure. How you want to shape the role is to some extent down to the applicant as the firm knows that someone in a comparable role now will have their own ideas and experiences to bring and so will likely want to have some freedom to allow them to bring their own style to the job.
This is a key appointment for this progressive practice and so they are wanting a candidate of good quality from a recognised conveyancing department though whether that is a sizeable private team or more of a commoditised operation will be determined by the mindset and approach of the successful applicant. Obviously the firm appreciate that this is a booming market for conveyancers and so they expect to remunerate this person well and will be looking at an incentivised element of a package.
A substantial and exciting opportunity for a proven Residential Conveyancing Manager.
