LOCATION: Devon (Commutable from: Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset, Wiltshire, Bristol)
SALARY: Circa £27,000
THE ROLE:
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Lawyer to provide support on a 1 year fixed term contract within a thriving legal department based in Devon. With an immediate start our client has a requirement for an Employment Lawyer to provide a range of general legal advice to Trade Unions and specifically to advise on and sign off Compromise Agreements. Contact with union officials (often at a senior level) and members will form a large part of this role and the role will also include development and promotion of this service. There may be a requirement to work from home to meet clients for meetings.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal applicant will be a 1 or 2 years qualified employment lawyer with knowledge relating to general employment law advice (specifically Settlement Agreements). The successful Employment Lawyer will be required to manage an interesting caseload and be confident in identifying priorities and dealing with matters with accuracy and speed. You will also be given the opportunity to work with the team manager to formulate future team objectives and policies. The ideal candidate will be available at fairly short notice and must be able to commit to the entirety of the 1 year fixed term contract. This could potentially lead to a permanent role.
THE FIRM:
A highly respected law firm with specialist teams offering a challenging caseload within a committed and friendly environment for the Employment Lawyer. Competitive salary and benefits are on offer combined with the strong potential of a permanent position at the end of the contract.
Alternatively, if you know anyone else that is interested, remember we do offer up to £200 referral fee bonus.
