REGULATORY LAWYER - PUBLIC SECTOR - 6 MONTH CONTRACT
You will be working in a team of top quality lawyers, all of whom come from magic circle or equivalent backgrounds, so the quality of work remains at a high standard. You will ideally have extensive experience in regulatory law with a private practice background from a top firm and in-house experience is desirable, especially if in the public sector. You should also have between 6 and 10 years PQE and preferably be available to start a new position ASAP.
You should ideally have demonstrable ability to advise at a senior level on public and administrative law in a regulatory context. In addition, knowledge of one or more of these areas of law will be useful: procurement, charity law, insolvency and company law. Your work will include advising on:
- Enforcement action against licensees
- Applications for Foundation Trust status
- Policy development
- Whistleblower/complaint matters
- Business support, for example, procurements
Your Experience
You will be either a solicitor or a barrister with considerable post qualified experience and an excellent academic background. You will have demonstrable ability to be a trusted in-house lawyer, providing high calibre legal advice in key areas and able to turn your hand to a range of issues. You will be a pragmatic, flexible and commercially minded lawyer, with a track record of working well with colleagues at all levels including senior management. A committed team player as well as a self-starter, you will have strong interpersonal skills, strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
