Our client, an independent regulator responsible for authorising and regulating NHS foundation trusts is on the look out for a junior lawyer to join their legal team. The duty of this regulator is to protect and promote the interests of people who use health care services and all providers of NHS-funded services. This is a great opportunity for a high calibre lawyer from a top City practice to make a move in-house to do something really quite different.
This role sits within a talented and focused legal team and the main accountability of this position is to Advise on public and administrative law in a regulatory context. You will advise on responses to PMQs, MPs, complaints and requests made under the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts. You will be involved in policy development, whistle blowing, complaint matters and enforcement actions.
For this position it is expected that you will be over 3 years qualified with experience of regulatory or public law which can be transferred to this sector. It is essential that the candidate is good with people, positive and enthusiastic, and has an interest in developing a career within this interesting field.
