About Eversheds
Our company commercial group handles major projects for some of the largest clients in the world. We enable our lawyers to stretch their skills and gain experience few other law firms can offer. Our group includes a wide variety of experts, from dealmakers and banking experts through to contract drafters and IP specialists. With the resources of an international firm and an award winning, innovative approach, all of our people are able to offer carefully managed, progressive business solutions that modern day organisations require.
We have an opportunity for 2 NQ Associates to join the Manchester Finance team, focussing principally on Banking work.
Key responsibilities:
As an integral part of our leading Finance team you will provide support on a wide variety of transactions. Whilst your work will encompass the whole range of finance transactions, your principal focus will be on banking, including advising our corporate and lender clients on financing transactions. This will encompass the full range of syndicated and bilateral facilities on corporate transactions, real estate finance, renewable finance, leverage transactions and asset based lending. You will also work closely with the Restructuring team on distressed re-financing transactions and other restructuring work.
You must be confident and capable in the work you do, with the ability to manage your own caseload of transactions as well as working closely with the Partners on major cases - you will be given the responsibility of direct client contact from day one and every opportunity to build a successful career within a specialist area of law.
You will also be actively encouraged and expected to get involved in business development activities to develop your own relationships with our existing and potential clients.
Skills and experience:
The banking team, as part of the Finance team, is a leading practice which advises on some of the largest and most high profile deals in the region. If successful you can expect to gain unrivalled experience & career opportunities in a dynamic and supportive environment, coupled with first-rate training and development. The firm places a strong emphasis on being a team player.
You will possess strong technical skills and be able to demonstrate exceptional organisation skills as well as your high attention to detail. You will provide a first rate client service both internally and externally.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with and closely with named Legal 500 / Chambers Partners with fantastic opportunities for the right candidate.
Key competencies:
You should be a team player, client focused and a good communicator with a strong practical approach to your workload. A commitment of delivering quality service is essential, as is the ability to juggle the demands of a heavy workload.
In addition to the above, Eversheds also require awareness and full participation in the Firm’s commitment to equality and diversity, the environment and health and safety.
