Our nationally recognised team of environmental lawyers has in-depth knowledge of existing and incoming legislation, advising on current compliance requirements and working with clients to plan ahead at a strategic level and budget accordingly.

You will work with other members of the non-contentious environment team, and also with other teams such as real estate, planning, construction and health & safety. You will have 5+ years post qualification experience, however we will consider all candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skills.

You will provide environmental and health & safety advice on real estate and corporate transactions, working as necessary with international environmental colleagues on multi-jurisdictional transactions and projects.

You will find the work varied and challenging, for example advising clients on the impact of REACH and biocides legislation , and working closely with clients in the shale gas sector in relation to the emerging framework for shale gas regulation in the EU You will also draft and negotiate environmental provisions for incorporation in documentation, allocating responsibility for potential environmental liability in transactions.  In addition, you will be involved in training, both externally for clients and internally for colleagues.
