The Cambridge Commercial team is split into a number of work product groups: which include technology, IP, and commercial contracts and in addition, media, rail and projects.
We have an opportunity for an Associate to join the Commercial Product Group concentrating primarily on Data Protection, Privacy and information law, including freedom of information and related issues. The successful candidate will work as part of our energetic and supportive team undertaking data protection, some e-commerce related work and transparency related work on behalf of a wide range of businesses in a wide range of sectors
As a Solicitor, you will work as part of a national team undertaking UK and international information law related work on behalf of a wide range of businesses in a wide range of sectors. We are a strategically important part of our company commercial group that is expanding to meet client demand. We have a solid base of compliance projects across the globe dealing with global HR databases, cloud computing, outsourcings, or behavioural advertising, cookies and marketing initiatives in 60 countries. Our FOIA work has seen us involved in supporting public and private sector clients in this increasingly complex area through to appeal. We have successfully represented clients in investigatory and enforcement situations with the ICO and other privacy regulators.
