JOB TITLE: Head of Legal
LOCATION: Frankfurt, Germany
THE ROLE: This highly successful organisation has grown organically and through a number of highly strategic and synergistic acquisitions has become a leading global supplier of highly-engineered products components for the automotive industry. Headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany they now have 19 manufacturing locations in 7 global countries, a turnover in excess of £1.2b and have acquired 17 companies in the last 12 months alone. With further acquisitions planned, this company is not standing still, and to assist with this growth they are now looking to recruit a Head of Legal who will lead on strategic initiatives and support the continued success and growth of this organisation. The Head of Legal will advise on a wide range of corporate, joint venture and commercial work - ranging from large complex acquisitions involving the establishment of joint venture entities through to smaller industrial and/or commercial agreements.
THE CANDIDATE: Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be a German qualified lawyer ('Rechtsanwalt'), with a minimum of 8 years' PQE preferably in an in-house environment. You will have fluent written and spoken German and English language skills, strong Corporate /M&A skills and the ability to be a skillful negotiator. Being able to be highly organised and work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines are essential prerequisites. On offer for the successful candidate is a very competitive package including bonus, car/allowance, pension and private healthcare.
