Key responsibilities:
As part of our pensions team you'll be involved in general pensions advisory work for companies and trustees, occasional providing pensions support in corporate transactions, drafting trust deeds and member communications as well as legal advice reports independent trusteeship and trustee training. This appointment is in relation to the Birmingham team and the successful applicant will be based in Birmingham. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter who will integrate well within the existing team. There will be opportunities to develop expertise in public sector pensions and pensions litigation expertise in self invested personal pensions, and small self-administered schemes in addition to undertaking general work for an outstanding client base.
Skills and experience:
Ideally the candidate will be experienced in those key responsibilities listed above but must also have the right personality to fit with the existing close knit team.
Key competencies:
The candidate should have a 'can-do' approach and will go the extra mile. Must be a team worker with good communication skills and both coaches and gives/seeks honest feedback.
Responsive to clients and interprets their requests commercially; whilst understanding client’s business and financials. They must have the ability to build strong relationships and able to create own network.
They must be able to give good commercial and technical advice.
