The training programme is constantly evolving to build the skills you will need to be successful in the fast moving world of international business. Our groundbreaking MBA programme is designed to provide our trainees and junior lawyers with a unique opportunity to gain valuable business and commercial skills early in their career. During the training contract we will also ensure trainees have a broad legal experience, and a balanced, integrated approach to gaining the knowledge, expertise and abilities you will need to qualify in the practice area of your choice.
The firm's internship schemes are one of the primary means of selecting candidates for a career at Simmons & Simmons. Your placement will enable you to gain a first-hand experience of a busy and dynamic international law firm, with exposure to the deals and transactions the firm works on.
Winter vacation scheme: one week scheme aimed specifically at final year law and non-law students, graduates of non-law subjects and career changers. Applications open 01 October 2014.
Spring insight scheme: two day workshop, designed to equip you with a range of key skills and commercial knowledge you will need, to help you make your first steps towards your career in law. Applications open 01 January 2015.
Summer vacation scheme: three week scheme open to penultimate year law students, final year non-law students and graduates. Applications open 01 November 2014.
A series of open days are also available to all students and graduates and are run throughout the year.
The firm will cover your full tuition fees for law school and offer a maintenance grant of £6,500 for the GDL and £7,500 for the LPC.
