Our client has created a new role in its Yorkshire in-house legal department which is expanding at a rate which, although measured, is highly encouraging.
Following a recent round of successful recruitment at different levels, and owing to the departmental gearing, a further role has been created for a c2year qualified lawyer to work on the usual varied range of commercial matters that you would expect from a team which is structured in the way this one is.
Particular requirements are:
-Exceptional training. If you're not currently with one of the following firms, and you haven't at least trained with Addleshaw Goddard, DLA Piper, Eversheds, Pinsent Masons, Squire Sanders or Walker Morris, then it's unlikely you will be considered. Sorry. Client's instructions.
-Demonstrable commercial contract drafting experience (supply, distribution, agency, strategic partnerships and ideally more besides).
-Intellectual property experience (non-contentious IP matters connected with marketing and communication with the customer base, sponsorship, dispute resolution, and taking action to protect, and remedy breaches of, IPRs.
-Personality. Bags of it. The client needs a person who will be equally happy advising when people walk up to the desk, as when a meeting has been booked. The ability to create "fans" of the legal department through your confidence, commerciality and communication skills will be the 'glue' that holds all the above together.
Quite a list, you'll no doubt agree; but not without good reason, as you will discover.
This company, and particularly the legal department, is widely known for being a good place to work. We agree. But don't take our word for it. We're looking for someone who knows a good opportunity when it comes there way, and knows how to capitalise upon it. You won't be disappointed with the challenges on offer, both from a 'corporate' perspective, and a personal one.
For further information about this particular opportunity, or perhaps a more general confidential discussion of your circumstances and career options, please contact Miguel Florit by telephone or via our website or submit your CV.
Whilst we aim to respond to all enquiries within 5 working days this is not always possible due to the significant volume of applications we receive. If you are not suitable for our clients requirements then we will endeavour to notify you of this.
