Eversheds is not your average law firm and we're not looking for average people. We do things differently - in the way we treat our people and the service we provide. That's how we've become one of the largest law firms in the world and a great place to work and develop your career. The role is with the Banking team in the London office. The team is part of our international Banking Group which has over 60 partners and fee earners. The role will involve working with the team and their clients on a variety of banking and finance transactions. The team acts for all UK clearing banks and a number of large private and public UK, European and US companies.
Drafting and negotiating a variety of documentation on transactions. Liaising with our clients for instructions on documents and the transaction. Dealing with completion and post completion processes on transactions. Attending business development meetings and events with clients. There will also been an opportunity to work with teams in other offices in the UK and internationally to provide support on transactions. The role will also involve supervising Trainees and/or other less experienced team members.
Skills and Experience
You will have a strong academic background, a practical and client centred approach and work successfully as part of a team. Ideally you will have trained at a City or leading regional firm, giving you exposure to similar banking transactions. You should be comfortable communicating regularly with clients and participating in client facing activities. In order to have developed the required skills for this role, you will probably have 2 years+ PQE. However, we would be pleased to hear from anyone who feels they can demonstrate the skills and experience we are looking for.
We work closely as a team so being a team player and having an ability to build relationships with clients and contacts is key. We’re a modern, progressive law firm. We think differently and we’ve built a culture where individual skills and personalities can shine through. At Eversheds, we believe that innovation comes from having an inclusive culture of genuine equality and diversity and we’re happy to help with any reasonable adjustments you may require in the recruitment process, or once in post. Eversheds endeavours to recruit and fill vacancies directly. However, when we do need to engage with agencies, Eversheds operates within a preferred supplier list.
