At Addleshaw Goddard we not only provide technical excellence and experience but, crucially, demonstrate real insight into our clients and what really matters to them. A natural choice for FTSE100 clients and for the best talent, our people fulfil their potential in an environment where they are developed and valued. They think in our clients’ shoes, as part of a team - effective business people as well as efficient lawyers.
Our Financial Regulation practice is ranked in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500. The team works for a diverse range of clients including all the major banks, private banks and wealth managers, investment firms and intermediaries. The team also have a market leading reputation in retail financial services covering mortgages, loans, current accounts, pre-paid accounts, credit cards and payment services. The team's approach to service delivery is highly commercial and innovative with an uncompromising approach to quality.
Our ideal candidate will have a significant amount of retail financial services experience and will be used to working with application legislation and regulation. However, the person doesn't necessarily need to be a qualified lawyer, and compliance or government affairs professionals may also be suitable. What is important is experience of dealing with legal and regulatory change in the retail finance sector and considering its impact on firms. You will be required to analyse new legislation, guidance and consultations and understand and be able to summarise quickly and communicate with our clients about the impact this will have on them.
The investment and development of our people - our key resource - is critical, not only to our success but also to the success of each individual. Working closely with partners, you will be given autonomy from an early stage and will be actively involved in business development, client training, speaking at our seminars and in supporting proposals.
For an informal discussion regarding these opportunities and details on how to apply, please contact Sally Bavester or email your CV by clicking on the Apply Now button.
