That's how we've become one of the largest law firms in the world and a great place to work and develop your career. The Energy & Natural Resources sector is at the heart of Eversheds’ international strategy. The Energy & Natural Resources team is a crucial part of the firm’s plan to increase the depth of its client offering in oil & gas, a key driver of growth in the sector. The overall sector has experienced 19% growth in the past year, making it both the fastest growing sector in the firm, and the second largest in absolute terms.
The key responsibilities for this role is to grow experience and capability, we are looking for a corporate Associate with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, farm-ins and farm-outs and joint ventures in the oil and gas sector.
You could be involved acting on behalf of a wide range of clients, including independent oil companies, national oil companies, governmental entities, private equity investors and will be expected to be comfortable acting in relation to state owned, privately held and listed entities.
Successful candidate will have PQE experience, proven energy sector expertise – gained at a firm with a recognised practice in this area – should ideally be supported by experience of M&A; joint ventures; negotiating projects and managing complex contracts and agreements. First-class communication and networking skills are equally important. You will also need the resilience to deliver consistent results and the confidence to act on your ideas and identify new opportunities in a rapidly changing environment.
The key competences are;
• You will work to get a full understanding of the client’s needs and its business drivers from the outset
• You build strong, strategic relationships with all clients by being fully accountable for successful delivery and exceeding expectations.
