Our client is an international law firm with an outstanding client base.
The firm provides a full service claims, transactional, commercial, risk and advisory capability and works with clients in a select range of industry sectors.
They are market leaders in health, insurance and real estate.
This role is within the London Casualty Team dealing with claims arising from accidents abroad (including travel and holiday related EL/PL and Motor).
Experience of dealing with international injury claims is essential.
Day to day responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:-
Sound file management- to include consistent and accurate: billing; management of WIP and file closures; completion of Management Information.
Participating in marketing and client training events where necessary.
Building relationships with client contacts at all levels (due to the nature of the work, contacts range from in house legal teams to production departments, human resources teams, line managers etc)
Handling confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocol
At least 3 years prior experience of dealing with claims arising out of accidents abroad both pre action and litigated.
The firm will consider candidates who have previously worked at paralegal level handling this work.
Candidates will be expected to be able to deal with complex issues relating to jurisdiction and applicable law.
Experience of working in a target driven commercial environment.
Excellent commercial awareness and an interest in broader business issues.
This individual will be expected to provide commercially rounded advice to clients and view things from a business perspective.
Flexible with an ability to adapt to rapid change, both internally and in the context of clients' businesses.
Team player with a collegiate approach to knowledge sharing and problem solving.
Good IT skills.
