A leading international law firm with a highly rated Energy and Infrastructure department.
The projects and construction team has a new role for a solicitor who is looking to build on existing experience.
The team has a number of high profile clients and works on quality deals.
The practice focuses on:
- renewables deals in the wind, solar and biofuels sectors
- roads projects
- defence projects
- rail projects
- power and utilities work
- infrastructure work in the schools, hospitals and housing sectors.
The practice is focused on projects in the UK, sub Saharan Africa, the USA and Europe. Consequently, there is likely to be some requirement to travel both within the UK and abroad.
You will ideally have 1-3 years' experience.
However the firm will consider applications from candidates outside this range with suitable skills and knowledge.
You will need to display a strong academic background and be looking to develop your existing experience to a higher level.
Infrastructure experience is essential.
Suitable candidates should be able to display experience in PFI, Projects and Construction and the ability to work at a level where they running a deal, chairing meetings, negotiating unsupervised and acting as the day to day client contact.
'People skills' are a must - the ability to work well as part of a team, to develop client relationships and have a level of business acumen that enables the business to grow.
You will be expected to take on extensive responsibility and play a pivotal role in the firm's cohesive team.
